Spiritual connections
In 2009, Muslim Welfare Canada expanded its services in Mississauga with the opening of the Al-Abbas Mussallah, adjacent to our Halal Food and Essential Items Bank. This instructional facility includes space for religious education, a place of worship and as well, it provides access to various counseling services provided by a qualified cleric. With a capacity of 150 people (men and women), community services include; Congregational Prayers: Five times daily prayers, Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan, and Eid prayers; Islamic Education Classes for Children, Quranic Recitation for Adults, Hifz (Quran Memorization) and Tajweed Classes for Girls, and Youth Programs and others.
