On March 11, 2020 the World Health Organization (WHO) officially, COVID-19 as a global pandemic. Within less than 10 days, we’ve had over 300,000 confirmed cases and over 10,000 more deaths.  COVID-19, continues to spread rapidly around the world it’s affecting everyone, including people in our own backyard here in Canada.

The numbers are alarming, and they are changing in thousands every day. We ask God to protect and preserve all of us and use this time to stay home, practice self-isolation and make sure we extend our hands to those in need.

MWC’s Mission to Serve Humanity Continues

We are trying to do our best to help those in need during these trying times – through our food banks, through our various meal distribution programs and other initiatives like Project Ramadan, our shelter for women and children, and free medical clinics. During times like these, however, the vulnerable are even more vulnerable. Those less fortunate amongst us have their challenges heightened as they simply cannot stockpile even the basics. It is, therefore, crucial that we continue to provide our much-needed services to the hundreds of needy families and individuals across Canada that we cater to each and every day, from the GTA to the Canadian Arctic.

Our team is putting themselves on the line to go out and continue to serve Canadians and families abroad.

We will continue to support the community and our neighbours each and every day, just as we have for the last 27 years. In fact, we will open our doors wider to make room for more.
