Afghanistan has been facing a large-scale humanitarian crisis for years. And with current political issues and tensions, the people of Afghanistan are undergoing an even greater trial. Families have been forced to leave their homes for fear of their well-being. Millions cannot even afford to put food on the table and thousands more are fleeing the country, in search of refuge.
Canada has agreed to resettle over 20,000 Afghan refugees. As these families flee the crisis in their homeland, they will need all the help they can get in order to rebuild their lives.
MWC has been supporting refugees since 2015, helping over 800 refugees to date. MWC is committed to helping those in their time of need. We have already begun supporting 23 Afghan families in Toronto with Welcome Kits, and expect to continue to help the thousands more arriving in Canada.
