We are still operating our lunch service at Regent Park, however, we are now only serving take-out, all while taking the necessary precautionary measures.
The safety and health of our volunteers, staff, and beneficiaries are of utmost importance to us.
Great Food Great Volunteers
Since October 2014, hundreds of volunteers have been busy – cutting, dicing, setting tables, and getting the community centre-turned-restaurant ready for lunch on Sunday. Our program provides Regent Park residents of all ethnicities and faiths an opportunity to enjoy a delicious restaurant-style meal that’s served in a welcoming and caring atmosphere. In fact, more than 45,000 nutritious, halal meals have been served. More importantly, we’ve made wonderful friends like Doris along the way.
Doris is a regular guest at Regent Meals. Despite health problems and having to travel on a mobility scooter, Doris insists on coming every week. “If I’m not here, I’m in the hospital. If I’m not in the hospital, I’m here.”
Regent Meals takes place each Sunday afternoon at the Christian Resource Centre – 40 Oak Street, Toronto. Services also include regular clothing distribution, school backpack distribution for kids in the fall, free tax return preparation and e-filing, as well as health information seminars.

Sponsor Sunday Meals: You can sponsor one or multiple meals for just $6 per meal, or sponsor the entire event on a Sunday for $2,400. Please encourage your family and friends to sponsor a Sunday meal and join us in serving as well.
Donate food items and supplies: Muslim Welfare Canada is always looking to expand the relationship with suppliers in order to enhance our menu.
